I think its very illogical to enter and contest and not expect to win or want to win. I do see that George is in the lead, respectively, but i still haven’t given up, so don’t throw me in the pot of people who have decided to forfeit the competition. I do realize the winner of this contest will be decided by votes, and it is highly unlikely that I will receive over 2,000 votes before the end of this contest. I also realize there has been no final date set on when the comp ends, so you can still vote for me, in fact, I urge you to vote for me.
I have exhausted my friends and fans to the point that they feel it is pointless for me to continue badgering them for votes, being that this doesn’t seem to benefit either party involved; Karina nor the contestants. I’ve been to everybody’s myspace and all that good stuff just to see who is really serious about they’re music and like NaS says “it aint hard to tell”. Its only natural to want to know about the people you’re in competition with especially if you find their music to be good. With that being said, I realized why the best people in the comp have the least amount of votes.
But I can only speak for me so I will say that, this contest wasn’t about the prize, although those things would be nice, but it was about making good music, being heard, acknowledged, and last but definitely not least, WINNING!!!
I remember first hearing 16 @ war back in late April or early May, and was so moved by Karina’s voice, harmonies, and lyrics.Then after listening to the song over and over, I knew there was some things i needed to say to her, ask her, etc. and the only way i knew to get another artists attention was through the thing they are indulged in. So I searched the net(May 7th), trying to find the instrumental, so I could give my take on being a young person growing up. I finally came across the instrumental on imeem on (?Mz. Ch33rful?)’s page(aka Angela). I kindly asked her if she could email the instrumental, because i wanted to make a response or cover. I made the song, sent Angela the finished product, then sent Karina an email on May 11th. She said that she loved it and was going to add it to her blog once I made a video. Well, I made a video, sent it back to Karina, but she never put it on her blog. But the great thing that came from this was that she added a new area on her site just for fans to put cover videos, responses, Karina inspired art and things of that nature. Then a little while later she decided to have this contest… and here we are now!
So with all that said I am very pleased with everything thats going on and I hope that this contest, song, and Karina’s career in general has brought discussion, debate, music, interest, awareness and most importantly, happiness.

My opinion is just that.. my opinion, which means its relative. I never said that George was wack, weak or less talented. I’m happy for everyone who entered this contest…I was just letting everyone know how i felt about the competition. I’m glad you read it though. George is obviously the hottest in this competition, no doubt! I say that with all sincerity. I don’t recall saying i was thrown in this competition either. I entered it expecting to win and i still expect to win. I’d rather lose this contest and keep making great music…this is what separates myself from most artist.

I was a finalist in the contest with the last batch of people and it was going the same way with the votes just not as bad as now…..George Lott….how can I say this?
