Alicia Keys Concert: Recap
Hey Everyone,
Last night I attended the last show for The Alicia Keys Concert featuring Ne-Yo and Jordin Sparks and it was AMAZING!
When I got to Madison Square Garden Jordin Sparks was on stage, I really didn’t get to see her whole set but I was so happy I didn’t miss her performance of NO AIR. Once the beat dropped everyone screamed and sang along with her. So looked so beautiful and sounded really good too.
Then after Jordin performed, my label mate Ne-Yo hit the stage with his band and dancers. He opened his set with Closer, and closed it with Because of You, he performed Mirror, Sexy Love, Can We Chill, Do You, So Sick, Go on Girl, and the crowd went crazy when Fabolous came out and surprised everyone as they performed “Make Me Better”. My favorite moment of the night was when Rihanna hit the stage in a beautiful red dress, she and Ne-Yo performed “Hate That I Love You”, I was so excited to see Rihanna.
After Ne-Yo’s performance there was a brief intermission and I went to grab some Nacho’s and Popcorn…. (I Love Nachos).Once I returned to the arena their was a video playing that featured Cedric The Entertainer as a pastor and it featured Alicia as a member of the church, they were congratulating her on her success and everything…It was real funny.
THEN…
Alicia hit the stage….First her piano appeared and began to rotate (I thought that was real cool), the lights went dim and then she appeared….lol.
She performed and danced with her dancers and sat the piano as well, (of course). She did songs from all of her albums and a lot were from AS I AM. She also took the time to bring awareness to her KEEP A CHILD ALIVE Foundation. She encouraged everyone to TEXT the word ALIVE to 90999, to find out how they can help and make a difference.
Alicia gave an amazing performance during the whole show, but her performance of NO ONE was monumental. Everyone thought the show was over but then a white grand piano came up from the center stage and Alicia came back out to perform IF I AINT GOT YOU! She wanted to let all her fans know that she really appreciates them and this would not be possible without the fans.
I really enjoyed the show over all, it would be a dream come true for me to headline my own tour and sell out stadiums. When you perform at an arena you really see how much your music affects everyone, when your performing on that stage pouring your heart out and the fans is their singing along to every single world…..Its just an amazing feeling…
Peace, Love & God Bless….
Karina
